1. Who We Are
Urim Church Analytics ("we," "us," or "our") operates Urim, a church dashboard service. Our address is 14014 Frio Dr., Baytown, TX 77523. You can reach us at hello@urim.church.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and organization name as provided by Planning Center during OAuth sign-in.
- Authentication tokens: A short-lived OAuth access token from Planning Center, stored in an encrypted session cookie to authenticate your API requests.
- Aggregated church analytics: Daily snapshots of aggregate counts — total active members, group counts, and demographic breakdowns (gender, age, membership type) — stored in our database to power historical trend charts. These snapshots contain no names, emails, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable information about your congregation members.
- Payment information: Billing and payment details are collected and stored by Stripe. We do not store your card information.
- Usage data: We collect anonymized analytics (page views, feature usage) via Vercel Analytics to improve the service. No personally identifiable information is included.
- Support communications: Messages you send via the in-app feedback form or email.
3. What We Do Not Store
We do not store individual member records. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, profile photos, and other personally identifiable information about your congregation members are fetched live from Planning Center's API and are never written to our databases. When your session ends, that data is gone from our systems.
We do store daily aggregated snapshots — total counts and breakdowns such as "1,247 active members" or "34% female" — in our database to power historical trend charts. These snapshots are aggregate statistics only and contain no personally identifiable information about any individual member.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and fetch your church's data from Planning Center
- To process your subscription payments via Stripe
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, and support requests
- To improve the service through anonymized usage analytics
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
5. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is encrypted, stored only on your device, and expires when your session ends or your token expires. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Planning Center Online: Your data is fetched from PCO's API using your credentials. Their privacy policy applies to data stored in PCO.
- Stripe: Handles all payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel: Hosts our application and provides anonymized analytics. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
- Neon: Provides our serverless database, which stores aggregated church analytics snapshots (no member PII). See Neon's Privacy Policy.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. OAuth tokens are stored in encrypted, HTTP-only session cookies. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store congregation member data on our servers.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information (name, email, organization) for as long as you have an active subscription. Payment records are retained as required by law. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion, we will remove your account information within 30 days.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Revoke Urim's access to your Planning Center account at any time via PCO's Connected Apps settings
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@urim.church.
10. Children's Privacy
Urim is intended for church staff and administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of Urim after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
